Welcome to Strong Courageous Living! What is this site, this page all about? Well mostly perhaps it’s a personal journey, one which you have been invited to share with me. My prayer is that you find strength and growth in the things you read. I consider is a privilege to be able to share the things the Lord lays on my heart with you. This is a new journey for me an area I have never explored. It is a bold step in a path the Lord has directed me on.
So why Strong Courageous Living you may ask? Well the basis of this sight comes from Joshua 1:9 where God tells Joshua to be Strong and Courageous. We Find multiple times as Joshua began to journey into the promise land he was told by God to be “Strong and Courageous” and reminded that the Lord was with him wherever he went. In our walks and our lives how often we need to be reminded to be Strong and Courageous. You see as we walk into new things and new seasons the unknown may be scary but we must be reminded that we are strong and courageous.
I pray that through my writing and blogs you find strength and courage to walk out the call and destiny on your life. The writings on here may not always be pretty; but, I pray in them you find a straight, forward truth that challenges you. I pray that in them, you find strength and courage to brave the unknown. I pray in them, you see vulnerability. I pray in them, you see me and see that you are not alone in your struggles and the Word of God has truths for every area of your life.
I am no theologian, no famed writer, and honestly I am nobody. In a world of 1000’s of blogs I am but a grain of sand in the inter-web.
I am a daughter of the king who desires to do the will of God with my life. In this case the Lord said write and he has added some other things to come, yet I know the first step is in obedience. I won’t lay claim to have any idea what I am doing but I do know this when Gods hand is in it, he will do the rest and with God as my teammate on this page, I know he will touch your life.
If I reach only one person and God says shut it down then I know I have done exactly what God has asked me to.
So what will you see in Strong Courageous Living? I venture to say a wide range of topics and things. As this page grows I aim to only place the things that I feel God has led me to place or say, I simply cannot do it without his leading.
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Lisa. I am a single mom of two children and in my 30’s. My life like many of our lives is one nonstop roller coaster of ups and downs and full of blessings in all the ups and downs. A life in which I will continue to dance each step with Jesus wherever he may lead. I work full time as a nurse and a mom. I have been an emergency room nurse for most of my career. I enjoy reading, writing and coffee shops. I love the beach and am very blessed to live in such an amazing place with beautiful beaches.
